| Patricia Arquette is one of many actors in her family which include: her grandfather, father, and all three of her siblings. A desire to perform and create lasting characters is in Patricia¡¯s blood - that or there¡¯s something in the water at the Arquette house!
Born in Chicago on April 8th, 1968. The family moved out to Southern California when the kids were all still young, as their dad pursued his career.
Patricia certainly did not burst onto the scene. She worked for years, playing bit parts in mediocre TV movies before she was finally given her opportunity to show her capabilities as an actress. The break came in 1991, when she starred as a deaf woman in the Lifetime television movie, Wildflower. Patricia won a Cable Ace Award for Best Actress, and was really showing what she was capable of.
Arquette, like the rest of her family, has always flirted with mainstream appeal but has been most comfortable in low-key, independent films. They are all known to be rather wild and free-wheeling, but its that very spirit which gives them their creativeness. Patricia married actor Nicolas Cage in 1995, and she continues to work steadily. |
